The Midwifery Practitioners Association, India (MPAI) was established to provide a unified national platform for Midwifery Practitioners committed to advancing the profession through leadership, advocacy, education, research, and collaboration. The Association seeks to strengthen professional standards, support evidence-informed practice, and contribute to improved maternal and newborn health outcomes across India.
As Founder of MPAI, my vision is to foster a strong, inclusive, and future-focused professional community that empowers Midwifery Practitioners to lead positive change within the health system. By promoting excellence in clinical practice, ethical leadership, policy engagement, and continuous professional development, we aim to elevate the recognition and contribution of midwifery to the nation's healthcare system.
Together, we are building a future where every Midwifery Practitioner is empowered, every woman receives respectful and evidence-based care, and every newborn is given the healthiest possible start in life.
With more than 15 years of professional experience in healthcare, quality management, and public health, I remain dedicated to advancing midwifery through strategic leadership, professional advocacy, capacity building, and partnerships at national and international levels.

Early Professional Career
Started the professional journey in nursing and maternal healthcare with a commitment to improving quality of care, patient safety, and strengthening health systems through evidence-based practice.
National Midwifery Programme
Successfully completed the Midwifery Practitioner (NPM) programme and developed expertise in respectful maternity care, physiological childbirth, newborn care, emergency preparedness, and midwifery-led models of care.

Expanded leadership capacity through healthcare quality management, public health initiatives, strategic planning, healthcare administration, and policy engagement to improve maternal and newborn healthcare services.
Establishment of MPAI
